TITLE: Marketing and Communications Intern
REPORTS TO: State Director of Communications
LOCATION: Chapter office, Indianapolis
REASON FOR OPENING: Ongoing opportunities
POSITION PURPOSE:
To take part in and lead primary Marketing and Communications initiatives of Indiana Chapter of the March of Dimes that offer valuable, real-world experience and resume building activities that may also be used to fulfill academic requirements toward a degree in Marketing and/or Commuications.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
To accept appropriate tasks assigned in the implementation of primary marketing and communications intiatives of the Indiana Chapter of the March of Dimes. Responsibilities can include but are not limited to: supporting media promotions occurring locally and in multiple states, implementing publicity activities as directed, leading public relations activities, and planning and implementing branding/image and identity events.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Must work regularly-scheduled hours for a set period of time negotiated prior to accepting the internship. Good communications skills required. Also required is the willingness to motivate others to support the March of Dimes. Professional appearance and outgoing personality is necessary. Basic knowledge of public relations and promotions management preferred. Computer skills needed include proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
