Prematurity Awareness Month is November each year and Prematurity Awareness Day is November 12th. 

There are special observances, events and ceremonies planned including Prematurity Roll Calls, Candlelight Vigils, purple lights on buildings and homes and landmarks, community displays, purple ribbons on trees and more.
