As the State Budget is adjusted to accomodate the current economic times March of Dimes volunteers are going to the Indiana Statehouse on January 28th to meet with legislators about key advocacy issues critical to our mission:
- Access to health are for women of childbearing age, pregnant women, infants and children.
- Development and use of perinatal and pediatric quality measures.
- Access Initiatives to improve the health of infants and children living with birth defects and health problems associated with preterm births.
- Smoking, alcohol and substance abuse prevention and cessation with emphasis on women of childbearing age and children.
