Local Leader Named to National March of Dimes Council

Local Youth Leader Grant Lin of Indianapolis and student at Indiana University has been selected to serve as a member of March of Dimes National Youth Council. 

As a member of the National Youth Council, term of at least two years effective July 16, 2009, Lin joins a committee of 19 college students who have been selected because of their demonstrated leadership ability and their potential for service to the March of Dimes Foundation. The purpose of the National Youth Council is to assist the March of Dimes in the design and implementation of programs targeted to young people. 

Lin will work closely with other volunteers and professional staff at the March of Dimes regional and national offices and in the chapters to provide leadership and assistance in these programs.  In addition, h will be involved with other national partners, advocacy initiatives and with the development of collegiate programs.

The Foundation identified Lin's past accomplishments as Key Club International President, Circle K International Lieutenant Governor, and a 2008 March of Dimes National Youth Leadership Conference attendee as part of the reason for his selection.  Also, Lin's achievements as a United States Presidential Scholar and National Merit Scholar, along with  leadership in the National Honor Society, demonstrates a strong passion to service.
