The March of Dimes Mission
To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives. Some of our work is highlighted below.

National Grants in the Indiana Chapter

Grand Rounds - Continuing Education for Health Professionals
The March of Dimes specializes in educational resources for medical professionals that target the most complex and current aspects of perinatal health, including preterm birth, genetics and preconception health.





American Humanics National Conference in Indianapolis
1000 attendees learned how they could be "fit" to have a healthy baby and what the March of Dimes is doing for all babies at the 2009 American Humanics Leadership Institute in Indianapolis in January.

Nurturing NICU Families Across Indiana
Nurturing NICU Families across Indiana is a program established by the Indiana Chapter of the March of Dimes to provide comfort and information to mothers and families of critically ill newborns.

Comenzando Bien Train the Trainer Series
Comenzando bien is the March of Dimes prenatal education program for Hispanic women. It was developed in partnership with the National Alliance for Hispanic Health and is culturally and linguistically appropriate for Hispanic women.
