$810,951 New High Total for Paper Pumpkin Patches Campaign funds March of Dimes programs to give every baby a healthy start
(INDIANAPOLIS, IN, NOV. 10, 2009) The March of Dimes thanks Circle K Stores and their employees for raising $810,951 for the March of Dimes Pick-A-Pumpkin campaign which ran from Oct. 16 to Nov. 6, 2009. The Circle K Pick-a-Pumpkin Campaign has been a successful partnership with the March of Dimes since 1993, raising nearly $3 million to date. This year, the campaign expanded into 12 states.
“The Pick-A-Pumpkin Campaign is a part of how we serve our customers,” said Mark Novak Director of Human Resources for Circle K Stores. “Our motivation is to remember the money raised goes to help all babies by funding March of Dimes programs working to prevent preterm birth, birth defects and infant mortality in the communities where our employees and customers live and work.”
“Circle K stores and their employees are champions for the tiniest and most vulnerable,” said Tim Arndt, March of Dimes State Director of Communications and Circle K Pick-A-Pumpkin Campaign Lead. “Every day babies are born struggling to survive and every day the March of Dimes and Circle K are helping them win.”
The goal of Circle K Stores is to be a part of the community and provide fast, friendly and convenient service to its customers.
The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide and its premier event, March for Babies, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
