Supporting The Fight for Infant Lives Each Year

INDIANA CHAPTER
ANNUAL GIVING CAMPAIGN

Annual Gifts are contributions given annually to advance the March of Dimes mission to save babies by supporting programs of research, community services, education and advocacy. They normally are repeated every year and are given within the calendar year. Annual gifts come primarily from individuals, although some corporations and foundations also make these gifts.

YOUR GUIDE TO GIVING

PRESIDENTS SOCIETY
The Presidents Society is a special component of our Annual Giving Campaign for contributions of $1,000 or more. Donors receive special recognition from the March of Dimes on a national level, including personalized acknowledgement from March of Dimes President Dr. Jennifer L. Howse, a special pin designed for members, listing in the national annual report and on chapter honor rolls, and invitations to special activities.

INDIANA SOCIETY
An additional element of the Annual Giving Campaign, the Indiana Society was developed by the Chapter to recognize contributions of $500 - $999. Indiana Society members receive special recognition at chapter Volunteer Leadership Conference, listing in the current year’s chapter report, a gold toned pin and a letter of thanks from the chapter chair.

CHAIRMANS SOCIETY
In appreciation of those volunteers that donate $250 - $499 to the Annual Giving Campaign, members of the chairmans society receive Special recognition at chapter Volunteer Leadership Conference, listing in chapter report, a silver toned pin and a letter of thanks from the chapter chair.

CHAPTER SUPPORTER
Those donors who contribute up to $249.

Donors may choose for their contributions to be spread throughout the year. All Annual Giving donors may choose to charge their gift to a major credit card.

PLANNED GIFTS – VICTORY SOCIETY
These are gifts that will benefit the March of Dimes in the future as the result of estate and gift planning. There are many ways of giving these gifts, including:

# Gift Annuities
# Life Insurance
# Retirement Plans

GIFTS OF STOCK
Please notify Dottie Coakley, Planned Giving Director, 1-800-315-3698, of your intention to gift stock to the March of Dimes and to receive instructions on how to do so. These gifts will qualify you for the Victory Society and the Presidents Society if the value is $1,000 or more.

100% GIVING POLICY
In support of the Indiana Chapter’s Annual Giving Campaign, each division board has followed the example set by the Chapter Board of Directors and passed a 100% giving policy, pledging that each member will make a personal donation to the March of Dimes. The gift is in addition to event involvement and a minimum level is not pre-determined, as the goal of this effort is 100% participation by the chapter’s volunteer leaders.


	Donating is easy online, by phone or mail / fax.


	Become a prematurity partner Prematurity partnerships are significant corporate and individual contirbutions to the prematurity campaign in Indiana.
	Help make March of Dimes events a success There are many fun and memorable events held each year in the Indiana Chapter raising critical funds for the March of Dimes fight for babies' lives. We need your help in making them a success.



	Prematurity Awareness a Key to Saving Babies Pink and Blue are the colors of the Prematurity Campaign! Help raise awareness with pink and blue lights on porches, businesses, and streets! Paint the town pink and blue with ribbons, banners and signs! November is prematurity awareness month!
	Help Educate others About the Mission When people hear the name March of Dimes they may not know exactly why they should get involved. Help others learn more about the mission of the March of Dimes and you will be helping to save babies' lives!
