Grand Rounds - Continuing Education for Health Professionals
The primary purpose of the grand rounds program is to provide continuing education for perinatal health care providers on topics relevant to the March of Dimes mission: prevention of infant mortality, birth defects and preterm birth.

The grand rounds program is jointly sponsored by the March of Dimes and the Johnson & Johnson Pediatric Institute. Preterm birth is the priority topic.

The program features:

Medical and nursing grand rounds and presentations at local, state, regional and national perinatal conferences.
The development and use of annotated slide sets produced by the March of Dimes and national experts in collaboration with our Prematurity Campaign partners.  The program also includes a train-the-trainer component that creates a cadre of local "champions" or perinatal providers who give presentations.

This effort will enhance local capacity and reach more providers in community facilities.

For more information about the program, contact Mary Alexander, State Director of Program Services and Public affairs at 1-800-844-9255 or by email at malexander@marchofdimes.com
