| (Indianapolis, IN, January 7, 2006) The warmer and breezy days of spring may be hard to imagine in mid-January but according to the March of Dimes the top teams from WalkAmerica 2005 in Indiana are already working toward that spring day in Indiana and they plan to top the baby saving effort again this year.
"We are thankful that these caring and community minded corporations understand the importance of the March of Dimes mission and take such pride in leading the fight against prematurity, birth defects and infant mortality at WalkAmerica," says Janie Sue Dubbs, Sr. State Director of Development for the March of Dimes. "WalkAmerica is supported primarily by corporations who put together teams and raise mone at one or all of the 43 WalkAmerica sites in Indiana each year. WalkAmerica is a great day for them as many use the event as a corporate picnic of sorts and most as a chance to build teamwork."
The top teams from the 2005 campaign working toward the 2006 goal are:
10. Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center
9. Eli Lilly and Company
8. Strack &VanTil
7. UAW Region 3
6. Wal Mart
5. St. Vincent Health
4. KinderCare Learning Centers
