Diana Simpson has been a volunteer leader for the March of Dimes for 5 years.
She has served both on the Southwest Indiana Division Program Services Committee for 3 years and as a leader on the Evansville Signature Chef's event committee for 5 years including the 2006 event this October.
Diana brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the March of Dimes mission. Diana has been a nurse for 32 years and is currently the Nursing Division Director at the Vanderburgh County Health Department. Diana is responsible for the WIC Program, Child Health Clinic, Immunization Clinic and the outreach nurses who perform pregnancy testing and case manage high risk prenatals.
Diana says, "everyday we work with women who have just found out they're pregnant and have the opportunity to educate them on how to have a healthy pregnancy so they can have a healthy baby. But, until I got involved on the March of Dimes Divison board and in committees, I never realized the impact that March of Dimes has had on prenatal outcomes and the lives of children," she said.
