Margie Campbell's dedication to the cause of saving babies from birth defects, prematurity and infant mortality knows no boundaries.
Campbell has been a volunteer with the March of Dimes for 21 years, starting as a volunteer in Ohio and continuing after she moved to Indiana. Her involvement widened a little over 6 years ago as Campbell became a leader in the South Central Indiana Division as well as a member of several Indiana Chapter statewide committees and boards. She is currently serving as the chairman of the South-Central Division Program Services Committee and on the Division Board of Directors and Public Affairs Committee. At the Chapter level she serves on the Indiana Chapter State Board of Directors, Programs Services and Public Affairs Committees.
Campbell has been a registered for 23 years all of which have been in Perinatal Nursing. She is currently the Women & Children's Clinical Nurse Specialis at Columbus Regional Hospital where she has been on staff for 18 years. During which time she has also been a staff nurse for Labor& Delivery, Mother –Baby and Special Care Nursery.
"Caring for the babies in Special Care Nursery is my love and passion," says Campbell. "Everyday I see better outcomes for premature babies due to the research support from the March of Dimes such as surfactant therapy." |
