Our chapter applauds the wonderful work of our volunteers. Meet Robert Anglin of the Northeast Division and see how he helps the March of Dimes mission!
Name: Robert Anglin
Division: Northeast Iowa
March of Dimes Title: Board Chairman
I am a 41-year-old Account Executive for a local radio station, Radio Dubuque and its 4 stations. I am 12 years happily married to my best friend with 2 children, both boys; Ryan is 12 and Clayton is 16. My wife Andrea is an RN for Finley Hospital’s ICU unit. My hobbies include spending time with my sons, camping, and of course cars.
I became involved with March of Dimes three years ago after helping fellow board member, Rob Coutchie, promote a Harley raffle that benefited the March of Dimes. Rob and I have continued to host an annual Hawkeye Tailgating Party and donating all proceeds from the event to the March of Dimes. I help promote events on our radio stations and was asked to join the board as the communications chair. In October of 2011, I accepted the board chairman position for the 2012 year.
One of the reasons that I support the March of Dimes is the sense of fulfillment that you receive by promoting healthy babies and research. My nephew was a preemie and I am thankful everyday for the March of Dimes research that helped him to be a healthy baby boy
The March of Dimes is a wonderful organization that has fulfilled its original mission in finding a cure for Polio. They continue to strive for future research to give every baby a chance to be born healthy. You can make a difference by getting involved in our events, committees, or becoming a board member like me.
Thank you, Robert for volunteering your time with the Iowa Chapter. Your contributions are helping us give every baby a healthy start!
