Cedar Rapids, IA, March 21, 2012 —

March for Babies events across Iowa are quickly approaching and in an effort to keep all participants motivated, the March of Dimes Iowa Chapter is offering all walkers the chance to win the hottest new gadget from Apple, the newly released iPad 3.

In order to enter the contest*, walkers must be registered on marchforbabies.org at one of the state's twelve walksites and raise $500 or more in credit/debit card donations via the website by June 1. All walkers who meet the criteria will be entered into a drawing on June 1 and the winner will be contacted and announced on June 15.

The Iowa Chapter hopes to raise $1.2 million during its 2012 March for Babies campaign so that the organization can continue to invest in research, community services, education and advocacy for Iowa's babies. The March of Dimes currently funds nearly $3 million in research grants at the University of Iowa focused on premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality.
