| Salina, Kansas, August 2004 – Salina day care children will participate in WonderWalk on August 12, at the Martin Luther King Jr. Day Care Center, 1215 N. Santa Fe, Salina Kansas.
WonderWalk for Healthier Babies is patented after WalkAmerica. WonderWalk is scaled down for children and is intended to be fun and educational while teaching the values of volunteerism, helping others and raising funds to save babies lives. Parents can collect and participate along with their child. Registration is at 9:45 a.m. and the walk begins at 10:00 a.m.
While children are learning the value of volunteerism they will also enjoy a sack lunch, face painting, bubbles, fire safety and fun time with friends. Martin Luther King Jr. Day Care Center would like to invite other day cares to join them.
All children will receive a medal and certificate. Incentives for WonderWalk are as follows: $25 WonderWalk T-shirt $50 WonderWalk T-shirt, certificate for McDonalds happy meal $75 WonderWalk T-shirt, movie pass $100 WonderWalk T-shirt, $10 Kmart gift card.
