Kansas City - March for Babies
2012 March for Babies Chairman Karen Cox, RN, PhD
Executive Vice President, Co-Chief Operating Officer
Children’s Mercy Hospitals and Clinics

As the 2012 March of Dimes chair, I am honored to ask you to join me and Children’s Mercy to raise much-needed dollars for one of our most vulnerable populations – our babies. The March of Dimes is the leading organization working to make sure all babies are born with a healthy start. The March for Babies is not only a fun event, but one that means a healthier community for Greater Kansas City.
Over the past four decades, participants across the country have raised more than $2 billion in the March for Babies. The money you raise leads to more moms having full-term pregnancies and helps doctors, researchers and nurses improve outcome for premature babies.
Our goal in Kansas City this year is ambitious but I’m confident that together we can meet it – and maybe even beat it! Please ask your family, friends, co-workers and others to support you in walking for healthier babies in Greater Kansas City and across the United States.
Wichita - March for Babies
2012 March for Babies Chairman Steven Edgar
Chief Operating Officer
Wesley Medical Center

As the 2012 March for Babies Chair, I’m honored to invite you to participate and support this event. As the COO of Wesley Medical Center and the parent of two children, I realize the importance of having both healthy moms and healthy babies. March for Babies is not only a fun event, but one that means a healthier community for Wichita and surrounding areas. March of Dimes is one of the leading organizations working to make sure all babies are born with a healthy start.
The money you raise helps the fight against premature birth and assists physicians in improving the health of our babies. At Wesley Medical Center, we support the March of Dimes mission and advocate for a healthy start for all babies.
For more than 40 years, participants in March for Babies have raised over $2 billion across the country. Our goal in Wichita and surrounding areas this year is aggressive, but I’m confident that together we can achieve it. I hope you will ask your family, friends, co-workers and others to get involved and help support you in fighting for healthier babies in our area and across the United States.
I challenge you to “beat your best” this year. By participating you are helping to give every baby a healthy start at life. With your support, there is hope.
Help more babies in Kansas start life healthy and strong.
