Through Macy’s annual Thanks for Sharing program, customers can support the March of Dimes right in their own communities as they receive 10 percent off purchases.
Pregnant moms and babies will benefit when gifts for family and friends are purchased at Macy’s. Funds generated from the program will support March of Dimes efforts to help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. The biggest threat to the lives of babies is premature birth, the leading cause of death in the first year of life. More than half a million babies are born premature each year. Those who survive may have long-term health problems and lifelong disabilities. For a one-time $25 enrollment fee, Macy’s cardholders will earn rewards equal to 10 percent of most Macy's and macys.com purchases made with their Macy’s credit card from the time of their enrollment through December 31, 2008. Macy’s will make a $10 donation for each Thanks for Sharing enrollment until December 31, 2008, to selected charities, with March of Dimes as one benefiting from the program.
