16-Jul-09
LOUISVILLE, KY, JULY 16, 2009 – March for Babies was a huge success in the Kentucky River Region this year raising over $118,000 thanks in large part to the area schools that participated. All elementary, middle and high schools in Breathitt County participated this year.

Breathitt High School was the top school raising over $6,000! Brittany McKnight received the “Extra Mile Award” for her efforts spearheading the events at Breathitt High School.

Breathitt High School, Sebastian Middle School and L.B.J. Elementary all received plaques this year for raising at least $1,000! This would not have been possible without the support from the staff and the fundraising efforts from the students.

Highland Turner Elementary  $270
