Get Involved

Since its beginning, the March of Dimes has depended on the gererosity of people like you to carry out its mission of saving babies. Volunteers are the driving force behind the foundation, giving gererously of their time and talent to serve in a variety of ways.

Volunteers are the driving force behind the foundation, giving generously of their time and talent to serve in a variety of ways. Here are some of the areas that volunteers can get involved with:
Communications: Seeking communications professionals from Kentucky and Southern Indiana to help with marketing communications/public relations planning, graphic design and layout, writing, editing and proofreading, and media planning. Variety of short and long-term positions available to assist with projects to build awareness of the March of Dimes mission and materials to support fundraising events. Some on-site meetings may be required, but work may be completed outside of the March of Dimes office. Please reply by email to Jenny Druschke at jdruschke@marchofdimes.com
Program Services: Seeking professionals state-wide to serve on our Program Services Committees. Individuals with maternal child health, public health, rural health, social work, and/or grant writing experience needed to assist with advancing March of Dimes mission in Kentucy. Activities include grant reviews, outreach and awareness activities, healthcare education efforts, and more. NICU Family Support: Members of this parent-professional committee consist of parents who had a baby in the NICU or who had an antepartum hospital stay. Professionals who work in the NICU or with babies who have been in the NIC are also welcome to join. The committee meets once a month and helps direct and implement services and activities for current NICU and antepartum families. March for Babies Planning Committees: Volunteers are needed in communities across the state to sell sponsorship opportunities, recruit volunteers and new teams, and to plan and implement kick off, rally and walk day activities.
Special Event Volunteers: There are many opportunities available for involvement with the Signature Chefs Auctions, the Real Estate Awards Breakfasts and many other special events across the state. Join one of the planning committees or help the day of the event.

Participate

Funds for March of Dimes research, education, advocacy and community programs are generated through fundraising events. Participants purchase tickets to dinners, awards programs or solicit donations from friends and associates for events like March for Babies, Bikers for Babies, and Signature Chef Auction.

Partner

Several clubs and organizations partner with the March of Dimes to help further our mission. These groups participate in fundraising events and program activities that reach out to the community. Sponsorship of March of Dimes events and programs promotes a positive corporate image, which supports marketing and sales goals.
