House of Worship Sunday
Sunday, November 11, 2007

The birth of a healthy baby is a blessing. Help your house of worship and religious leaders spread a message of hope for premature babies and their families.

Ideas to Incorporate into Your Prematurity Awareness Month Plans
The goal of House of Worship Sunday is to make your congregation aware that premature babies are in crisis. Here are some things congregations can do to help support the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign (www.marchofdimes.com/prematurity ).
1. Remember premature babies and their families in your prayers.
2. Include the problem of premature birth in your congregation’s bulletin and announcements.
3. Distribute March of Dimes information about prematurity.
4. Ask your women’s group, nurses’ program, adult education classes or other congregational groups how best to provide information about premature birth to families in the congregation and in your community.
5. Make an offering for the March of Dimes Prematurity Campaign.
6. Conduct a mini-health fair after services.

For more information or sample invitation to your religious leader, bulletin inserts, prayers, or educational brochures for your health fair, contact sschulberger@marchofdimes.com.  Be sure to then let us know your plans so we can include it in the national website registry.

Donating is easy online, by phone or mail / fax.
