Signature Chefs Auction of D.C.

Signature Chefs Auction of D.C. features more than 30 of Washington, D.C.,'s top chefs during an evening of culinary tastings, fine wine and entertainment.  The evening will include silent and live auctions of unique dining packages, hotel stays and weekend getaways.

The event chairs are Karl Hobbs, men's basketball coach at The George Washington University, and JoAnn Marshall-Hobbs, president and owner of eXclusive Systems, LLC. The 2009 Honorary Signature Chef is Carla Hall (pictured, left), 2009 Top Chef season five finalist and owner and executive chef of Alchemy Caterers.  The cocktail chair is mixologist Gina Chersevani of PS 7's Restaurant.

Special guest is Chef Rock Harper (pictured, below), March of Dimes national celebrity chef volunteer and 2007 Hell's Kitchen winner.  WJLA-TV news anchor Leon Harris (see link below) will return to serve as master of ceremonies.

Other special guests include Eric Fehr and Shaone Morrisonn of the Washington Capitals; Jason Campbell, Andre Carter, Phil Daniels and Derrick Dockery of the Washington Redskins;  Ski Johnson, whose "New Beginnings" album was No. 1 on the Billboard contemporary jazz chart this summer; Rashida Jolley, Miss District of Columbia 2000 and America's Got Talent contestant ("The Harp Girl"); and Nicole Annabelle White, Miss District of Columbia USA 2009.
