March for Babies National Capital Area

March for Babies is America's favorite walking event.  Join March for Babies and give hope to the more than half a million babies born too soon each year.  The money you raise supports programs and research in Northern Virginia, Maryland and Washington, D.C., that help moms have healthy, full-term pregnancies.

Nine walks will be held in the National Capital Area.  March for Babies chairs include Joe Rigby, president and CEO of Pepco Holdings, Inc. (Washington, D.C.); Craig Muckle, manager of public affairs and government relations at Safeway (Prince George's County); Peter Otteni, vice president of development at Boston Properties (Fairfax County); and Deena Lanham, senior director of women and children's services at Inova Loudoun Hospital (Loudoun County).

The top 10 online fundraising teams are recognized every Thursday in the print edition of the Washington Examiner.

All individual money must be received by the March of Dimes office by June 30, 2010, to be eligible for incentive prizes.

Participants who are eligible for a Macy’s Gift Card must respond to an address-verification postcard in order to receive this incentive.  Gift cards will be sent before October 30, 2010.
