Bolt for Babies 5K
Arlington (Ballston), Va.
The third annual March of Dimes Bolt for Babies 5K will be held Saturday, August 28, and will take participants through Arlington, Va., along the Bluemont Course.
Registration is required and the fee is $20 through July 31 ($25 until August 15 and $30 through race day). Registration includes a T-shirt. Day-of registration begins at 7:30 a.m. (if spots are available). Proceeds from the event will benefit the March of Dimes Maryland-National Capital Area Chapter.
The race will begin at 8:30 a.m. and will use IPICO timing. Runners who do not return their chip at the end of the race will incur a $10 charge.
Parking is available at the corner of Fairfax Drive and Glebe Road. The closest Metro stop is Ballston-MU on the Orange Line.
Runners may pick up their packets from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 27, at Pacer's, 3100 Clarendon Blvd., Arlington, Va.
The awards presentation will be held immediately following the race or once all award categories have been filled. Awards will be given to the top male and female runners in the following age categories: 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49 and 50-plus.
