TITLE: Assistant Community Director
REPORTS TO: Division Director
LOCATION: Denver, CO
REASON FOR OPENING: Replacement
POSITION PURPOSE:
Raise funds through effective event and volunteer management.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Coordinate and assist in planning and implementing existing and new fundraising campaigns.
- Manage and develop existing volunteers and recruit new volunteers to assist with fundraising activities and programs.
- Assist in obtaining corporate sponsorships and donations.
- Develop and maintain working relationships with community leaders and organizations to promote the March of Dimes message and build support for the March of Dimes mission.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Prior fundraising and special events experience
- Experience working with, managing and developing groups of volunteers
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong computer skills
- Ability to successfully manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously
