Trail Run for Healthier Babies

The March of Dimes 7-Mile Trail Run for Healthier Babies and the 2-Mile Family Loop will be held Saturday, November 5, and will take participants along the Yellow Trail at Gambrill State Park in Frederick, Md.
The registration fee is $25 for the Trail Run and $15 for the Family Loop. There will be no day-of registration. After October 4, registration will increase to $30 for the Trail Run and $20 for the Family Loop. The first 200 registrants before October 4 will receive a participant T-shirt.
The Trail Run will begin at noon and will be manually timed by the Frederick Steeplechasers Running Club. The Family Loop will begin at 12:15 p.m. and will not be timed.
Parking is available in the park, but car pooling is strongly encouraged. Entry to the park is $3 per in-state vehicle and $4 per out-of-state vehicle. Entry to the parking lot will close at 11:40 a.m.
Runners may pick up their packets Friday, November 4, in Frederick, Md. (time and location to be determined), or beginning at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 5, at the start/finish area (High Knob Area) at Gambrill State Park.
The awards presentation will be held immediately following the Trail Run race or once all award categories have been filled. The first-place male and female winners of the Trail Run will each receive a roundtrip AirTran Airways airline ticket good for anywhere AirTran flies in the continental U.S. Travel is valid through December 2011. Additional small awards will be given to the top male and female runners by age group.
