Patricia Fleck wins Nurse of The Year Award
Northeastern University Nurse Wins in Neonatal Category

Trish has been practicing for 35 years and currently works in Maternal Child Health at Northeastern University. She manages an active caseload of critically ill medical and surgical neonates in academic NICU. Trish has an emerging role as a nurse scientist characterizing the unique EA infant population and identifying opportunities for safe and efficient delivery of care. She is a clinical interface between academia at Northeastern’s School of Engineers and Boston Children's Hospital Transport Team to improve delivery of care in the community.
Trish shares her knowledge and clinical expertise with novice nurses, interdisciplinary students as well as the newborn medicine fellows and visiting medical students and international observers. As a clinical instructor for NU School of Nursing, she regularly precepts NNP students and encourages undergraduate students to work in the clinical assistant role after completing Nursing Care of Women and Families.
