2010 Local Ambassador Selection Process

Thank you for your interest in becoming a March of Dimes Ambassador.  All applications must be completed by July 20th to be considered.  Click here to fill out the online application.

We are looking for ambassador families to represent the following communities (families can live within a 30 mile radius of these towns)

Boston
Worcester
Springfield
Lowell
Hyannis

Activities will include speaking opportunities at various events throughout the year, media interviews, using stories and pictures for marketing materials, representing the March of Dimes at meetings and events, organizing a walk team for March for Babies, corporate visits and other local activities.

Selection Process

Each family will be required to fill out the online application by July 20th.  Please also submit a recent family photograph to Eblackman@marchofdimes.com.  Once you have completed the online application a March of Dimes representative will contact you to set up your personal interview. 

Personal Interviews

Finalists will be required to visit the March of Dimes Westborough office for a personal interview with a staff member.  At this point the family should verify they would like to continue in the selection process.   During this interview they should be prepared to rehearse their story in front of the selection committee. 

Notifying Candidates

Final Candidates will be informed no later then August 14th by member of the March of Dimes staff.  Families not selected will also be informed.  Each Ambassador Family are provided with training to ensure that they feel comfortable with their role and can be positive representatives of the March of Dimes mission.
