On November 13, 2009, Kim and Charlie Jacobs and the Boston Bruins Foundation will be honored as the 2009 Franklin Delano Roosevelt Humanitarians of the Year at the annual fund raising event for the Massachusetts Chapter of the March of Dimes. This event will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel Boston with a cocktail reception and silent auction starting at 6:30 p.m.
Kim and Charlie are true philanthropists who were instrumental in the creation of the Boston Bruins Foundation, whose mission is to assist charitable organizations that demonstrate a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for children in the community. Both of them are active in a number of causes in the New England area including; the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, Children's Hospital Boston, Bridge Over Troubled Waters, the Rodman Ride for Kids and the Cardinal Cushing School. Kim and Charlie are true humanitarians and are very worthy recipients of our highest honor.
