Joe Dumars is serving his 5th full season as president of basketball operations and his 20th overall in the NBA. He won many honors during his playing time with the Detroit Pistons and has made a tremendous impact on the organization as an executive. During the last five years with the Pistons, Dumars has led the team to a winning record, resulting in a NBA Championship in 2004. Among a very long list of basketball credits, Dumars was recently named 2003 Sporting News NBA Executive of the Year.
