Ford Mustang Raffle To Benefit March of Dimes
Detroit (May 6, 2010)— Ford Motor Company is a long-time supporter of the March of Dimes, but this year the company is going above and beyond for babies. With Ford’s donation of a 2010 red Mustang GT convertible, the March of Dimes is hosting a raffle and all raffle ticket revenue will benefit the March of Dimes mission.
Raffle tickets are on sale until June 4 for 10 dollars a ticket or three tickets can be purchased for 20 dollars. The winner is responsible for a 25 percent Federal Witholding Tax and need not be present to win.
Valued at 35,000 dollars, the 2010 Mustang GT Convertible is red candy metallic with a black cloth convertible roof. The mustang also includes charcoal black leather interior, security package with active anti-theft system and wheel locking kit, 19-inch wheels, a comfort package which includes heated seats, ambient lighting and SYNC package.
Since 2005, Ford Motor Company and UAW-Ford have worked side by side with the March of Dimes premier event, March for Babies. This year, Alan Mulally, President and CEO of Ford Motor Company served as a National March for Babies Co-Chair with Ron Gettelfinger, UAW President. In addition to the mustang raffle, UAW-Ford employees across the country organized additional raffles, did many extra fundraisers and participated in March for Babies events as walkers.
