St. Louis Rams Tee Off for Babies
Golf Tournament Set for May 14St. Louis, Missouri, April 15, 2013
St. Louis Rams football coaches, players, and executive staff will tee up at the March of Dimes Missouri Chapter’s Challenge for Champions golf tournament Tuesday, May 14, at Old Hickory Golf Club in St. Peters, MO. The annual event, sponsored by Purina PetCare and the St. Louis Rams, is expected to raise more than $150,000 to support March of Dimes efforts to give all babies a chance to be born healthy. The tournament has raised more than $1 million over the last ten years.
There are a couple of new features at this year’s event. The first is a “silent auction draft” opportunity where golfers can bid on (draft) Rams players and coaches to join their foursome. Various restaurants will also offer special food and beverage tastings at some of the holes on the course.
The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 1:00pm and will feature “longest drive” and “closest to the pin” competitions. The event includes lunch, dinner, open bar and prizes.
Kevin Demoff, Executive Vice President of Football Operations/Chief Operating Officer is serving as Honorary Chair for Challenge for Champions.
