Bikers Set Record on East Side

Hundreds Turn Out for Bikers for Babies

    St. Louis, Missouri, August 02, 2012 —

More than 500 participants turned out to support the 10th Annual Metro East Bikers for Babies.  In addition to record attendance, the event on Saturday raised over $42,000 for March of Dimes – twice as much as the previous year.

Bikers ranging from novice to veteran made the most of the beautiful weather as they enjoyed a scenic cruise along the Great River Road, from Alton to Grafton, Illinois.  At the end of the day, all participants shared one goal: helping babies.

Nationwide, more than 35,000 people will participate in Bikers for Babies rides across the country.  The St. Louis ride is set for Sunday, October 14 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheater.
