The second annual Excellence in Nursing event was held on November 19, 2005 in Omaha.  400 people attended this event recognizing top nurses across the state.  The evening was hosted by Brian Mastre, Channel 6 news anchor and a father familiar with the March of Dimes mission.  His son, Braxton, a healthy 16 month old was born at 26 weeks.

Omaha nurse Celeste Felix, a clinical specialist at Methodist Hospital, received the Distinguished Nurse Award.  The following were recognized as top nurses in their categories:
