Women's Health Symposium: Pregnancy and Beyond
March of Dimes Nevada Chapter will be hosting the Women's Health Symposium: Pregnancy and Beyond from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, 2008 at The Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The symposium deals with multiple women’s health topics with a central theme of pregnancy and newborn care.
The March of Dimes Nevada Chapter Program Services Committee will be reviewing the proposals and selecting one keynote speaker to present at the morning general session (two hour presentation length), one general session speaker to present at the final session of the day (two hour presentation length) and 12 track/breakout session speakers (50 minute presentation length). One track will specifically target doctors. Other tracks will target all healthcare fields.
Some topics of interest include:
• Mental health with a central theme of post-partum depression
• Newborn screening/genetics
• Cardiac
• Smoking cessation
