Helping moms and babies in Nevada
The March of Dimes Nevada Chapter funds programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. This includes providing financial support to education that will help moms before and during their pregnancies, and working with local medical groups and organizations to improve prenatal care and newborn screening.
Grants and awards are given to projects that address the urgent needs of moms and babies. Grants are generally awarded for one year and range from $5,000 to $15,000.
The March of Dimes Nevada Chapter uses gifts wisely. We award grants based on a number of criteria, including the group or organization’s ability to accomplish its goals, as well as the potential impact a project will have in helping us prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.
The March of Dimes Nevada Chapter has one goal: to help babies in our community start life in the healthiest way possible. Through education and intervention, we help moms-to-be learn how to take care of themselves before, during and after their pregnancy.
