2009 New Hampshire Chapter Community Grants

(CONCORD)—The March of Dimes New Hampshire Chapter has awarded $11,400 in 2009 to NH agencies that will address maternal and child health disparities in New Hampshire.  They are listed below: 

Coos County Family Health Services, Berlin NH:  $7,260.00
Staff will be trained to implement the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guidelines/ 5A’s to address smoking among pregnant women and women of childbearing age.

Community Health Institute (CHI), Bow, NH Consultant Fee:  $1,140.00
Staff will provide training on the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guidelines/5 A’s to the 2009 community grant recipients.

Good Beginnings of Sullivan County, Claremont, NH:  $1,000.00
Two staff members will be trained at the Community Health Institute in Bow on implementation of the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guidelines/5 A’s through their home visiting program.

Elliot Hospital NICU, Manchester, NH:  $1,000.00
Two staff members will be trained at the Community Health Institute in Bow on implementation of the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guidelines/5 A’s for parents with babies in the NICU.

VNA Hospice of Southern Carroll County and Vicinity, Wolfeboro, NH:  $1,000.00
Two staff members will be trained at the Community Health Institute in Bow on implementation of the US Public Health Service Clinical Practice Guidelines/5 A’s through their home visiting program.
