Swine Flu Update
Swine flu is a type of flu. It is caused by a virus. In the spring of 2009, swine flu in people originated in Mexico. It has now spread to several countries. At this time, there is no vaccination for this strain of swine flu. Flu viruses spread mainly when people who have the disease cough or sneeze. Sometimes people become infected when they touch an infected surface (like a phone receiver) and then touch their mouths or noses. A person cannot get swine flu by eating or preparing pork.
