North Jersey Division Recognizes Exceptional Volunteers

JANUARY 26, 2004, FAIRFIELD, NJ – The Northern New Jersey Division of the March of Dimes recently held its Ninth Annual Volunteer of the Year Awards Recognition Reception at the Radisson in Fairfield.  Thirteen of the Division’s most outstanding volunteers received awards. According to Brian Tymon, Board Chairman for the North Jersey Division of the March of Dimes, “Our volunteers spend countless hours to make the March of Dimes mission of saving babies a reality. This night is our opportunity to say thank you on behalf of New Jersey’s babies.”

Rookie of the Year Award recipients:

  • Ginny Brinkerhoff of North Haledon
  • Kelly Leight of Short Hills

Brungard Youth Award recipients:

  • Chain Reaction Youth Council from the Essex-Morris-Passaic County area
  • Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School FBLA

Triangle Award for Excellence in Communications recipient:

  • Clear Channel Tri-State Radio

Triangle Award for Excellence in Program Services recipient:

  • New Jersey Section of the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric & Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN).

Franklin Delano Roosevelt Award recipients:

  • Jose Torres of North Brunswick
  • Christian Baker of Edison
  • Sam Blom of Midland Park
  • Richard Brooks of Ridgewood
