15-Nov-04 |
A March of Dimes Day at the Capitol was held on Monday November 15 at the Statehouse in Trenton. Volunteers and supporters of the March of Dimes educated our legislators about March of Dimes priority issues such as expansion of newborn screening, improvement of substance abuse treatment programs for pregnant women and women with young children, reduction of environmental hazards such as mercury contamination that affect reproductive health, and access to health care for pregnant women and babies.

In addition, Tracey Reed, Director of Public Affairs for the March of Dimes was interviewed by New Jersey 101.5. The interview was aired on the radio station throughout the day.
The March of Dimes thanks all of its volunteers who supported this effort and all of the legislators and staff at the Capital who took the time to listen our concerns.
