Helping moms and babies in New Jersey

The March of Dimes New Jersey Chapter funds programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies. This includes providing financial support to research and education that will help moms before and during their pregnancies. It also includes working with local medical groups and organizations to improve prenatal care and newborn screening.

Grants and awards are given to projects that address the urgent needs of moms and babies. Grants are generally awarded for one to three years and range from $10,000 to $25,000.

The March of Dimes New Jersey Chapter uses gifts wisely. We award grants based on a number of criteria, including the group or organization’s ability to accomplish its goals, as well as the potential impact a project will have in helping us prevent premature births, birth defects and infant mortality.

The instructions for applying for a New Jersey Community grant are listed below. Letters of Intent are due July 1,2013. Please read the selected priorities carefully – they do change from year to year. If you are looking for 2013 continuation funding for an existing March of Dimes grant, you do not need to submit a letter of intent.
