The March of Dimes Mission
To improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality. We carry out this mission through research, community services, education and advocacy to save babies' lives.


New York State Perinatal Association Conference
Scott Berns, MD, March of Dimes Senior Vice President for Chapter Programs was the keynote speaker at the New York State Perinatal Association Conference.





Great Beginnings: Maximizing Perinatal Outcomes
This was an incredible full day of professional education with 8 different workshop sessions, 13 health professional exhibits and a number of recognized speakers from the health care industry. 





The Harvey E. Schultz and Esther M. Schultz March of Dimes Health Education Scholarship
Educational scholarship to eligible candidates who are just starting their health related studies at an accredited post-secondary school located in Livingston, Monroe, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne or Yates counties. 





Suffolk Prematurity Project
A partnership between Suffolk Department of Health, Local Churches, Stony Brook University Medical Center, and Suffolk Perinatal Coalition.  






New NICU Family Support Specialist at Stony Brook and New program in Manhattan
March of Dimes NICU Family Support is a partnership that provides information and comfort to families with infants being cared for in a Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU).  There are three sites in New York State. 





Stork's Nest
Stork’s Nest is a cooperative project of the March of Dimes and the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. that provides prenatal education and incentives for low-income pregnant women.





Project Alpha
This collaborative project of the March of Dimes and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. provides young males with education, motivation and skill-building on issues of responsibility, relationships, teen pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases.
