2009 Saving Babies Together Award

| Robin Knobel, PhD, RNC NNP, Assistant Professor, Duke University School of Nursing, is the recipient of the 2009 March of Dimes “Saving Babies, Together Award®.” This award is presented annually to an experienced nurse investigator whose research reflects the common commitment of the March of Dimes and the Association of Women’s Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses to the prevention of prematurity and infant mortality, and the treatment of negative consequences of preterm birth. Dr. Knobel, a previous recipient of a March of Dimes Graduate Nursing Scholarship, received the award to help fund her study entitled, “Body temperature and vasomotor tone in extremely low birthweight preterm infants during the first days of life.” |
