2009 Pitt County March for Babies
Greenville, NC

March for Babies is the March of Dimes premier fundraising event that benefits all babies. Started in 1970, it’s the original walking event, raising money to fund important research and programs that help moms have full-term pregnancies and give hope to the families of babies born too soon or sick.

Last year, the 2008 Pitt County March for Babies had over 400 participants that raised almost $90,000.

This year, the 2009 Pitt County March for Babies and area’s businesses and organizations will help raise $95,000. This year’s event is projected to be Pitt County’s biggest and best March for Babies to date!

The walk route is five kilometers (3.1 miles). The walk (approximately one hour for an average adult at a steady pace) will go fast! There are plenty of rest stops along the way to provide walkers with great refreshments, entertainment and many other surprises! Registration starts at 9:00 am. March begins at 10:00 am.
