North Carolina Advocacy Issues and Priorities
The March of Dimes works locally and nationally to address issues that impact the health and well being of America's mothers and babies.  Policy recommendations result from intensive research and council.  In 2004 in North Carolina, the Chapter is focusing on maintaining funding for the North Carolina Birth Defects Monitoring Program, the North Carolina Folic Acid Campaign, Health Choice - North Carolina's Children's Health Insurance Program and Medicaid eligibility up to 185% povery for pregnant women and infants.  Please join your voice with ours to be sure that we are speaking loudly for our babies - who can not speak for themselves.
Advocacy Network
The Advocacy Network is made up of volunteers and staff who promote the March of Dimes mission agenda by contacting the governor and state legislators in response to Chapter action alerts.
