"I got involved with March of Dimes in 2003 shortly after my daughter was born (she was a 25-week micro-preemie who benefited immeasurably from surfactant therapy). As soon as I learned that March of Dimes’ funding supported the research and development of surfactant, I realized the best way I could “pay forward” my gratitude was to join this organization in its commitment to the well-being of premature infants & their families. Every person we educate on prenatal care and every dollar we raise for prematurity research is a great step towards preventing other families from experiencing the trauma of having a baby in the NICU. I feel truly lucky to have the opportunity to work with the March of Dimes in the journey to a healthier Tomorrow for all children!"
