Lead a group study

Group studies are an invaluable way to reinforce learning and for nurses to share their knowledge. The March of Dimes encourages nurses to use group studies to improve their care of women and babies and, ultimately, improve outcomes.

Print module group study

1. Purchase a module for each nurse, or provide a module that nurses can share.
   Print modules are $30 each; call (800) 367-6630 or order from our online catalog. Discounts are available on bulk orders; call (914) 997-4269 for more information. Use print modules as part of a lending library or for group studies.

2. Prepare for group study.
   1. Arrange a time and location for the group study.
   2. Remind participants to read the module before the group study so they are familiar with the content.
   3. Download the slide presentation from marchofdimes.com/nursingslides.
3. Lead the group study.
   

   Facilitate discussion on module content as well as the Clinical Application and Group Discussion items.

4. Direct participants to take the CNE test.
   Participants can follow the instructions for individual users of print modules to take their tests and get their certificates of completion.

Online module group study

Readings in online modules and slide modules can be viewed on screen, or can be downloaded and studied offline. Downloads require Adobe Acrobat Reader. If you do not have Adobe Acrobat Reader, click here to download it.

1. Purchase and distribute module tokens for participants.
   1. Register for this site and sign in.
   2. Click Purchase for group in the right column of your account page.
   3. Complete the pop-up to complete your order.
   4. Sign in to the nursing education site again and go to your account page.
   5. Click Token report in the right column of your account page to see the tokens you purchased.
   6. Give each person in your group a token code from the token report.
   7. Group members can then use the token code to register and read their module.
2. Prepare for group study.
   1. Arrange a time and location for the group study.
   2. Ask participants to read the module before the group study so they are familiar with the content.
3. Facilitate discussion on module content.
   
   
4. Direct participants to take the CNE test and submit it for CNE credit.
   Participants can follow the instructions for users of online modules to take their tests and get their certificates of completion.
