The fight goes on for more than 500,000 babies born too soon each year. Here in Oklahoma, 147 babies are born too soon each week. They need your help. Fight for preemies by joining our efforts this November. During Prematurity Awareness Month in November we focus everyone's attention on the impact premature birth has on babies and families.
Get involved by sharing our mission with your house of worship, community group and your family and friends. Below you can find links for:
Letter to the Editor: an example of a letter to the editor you can personalize for your local paper including helpful hints on submitting the letter
House of Worship: bulletin insert and announcement to share with your house of worship
Community Group: materials and a checklist for a presentation to your local community group (ie. Rotary, Kiwanis, Lion's Club, Chamber of Commerce, Business Association)
On November 17, Prematurity Awareness Day, we release our second annual report card that scores the nation and each state on premature birth. Find the Birth Report Card at marchofdimes.com/fightforpreemies. The 2008 grade is available now along with other ways you can:
