Oklahoma Advocacy Issues and Priorities
Raise public awareness of prematurity, reduce rates of preterm birth, and increase research to find the causes of premature births, through our Prematurity Campaign.

Increase and expand access to health care coverage for women and children in Oklahoma.

The March of Dimes supports efforts to educate women on the dangers of smoking during pregnancy, including the risk of premature birth.

Advocacy Network
The Advocacy Network is made up of volunteers and staff who promote the March of Dimes mission agenda by contacting the governor and state legislators in response to Chapter action alerts. This year's issues and priorities include those described above.

To become a member of the March of Dimes Oklahoma Chapter Advocacy Network and receive action alerts via email, contact Director of Public Affairs Belinda Rogers brogers@marchofdimes.com

STATE PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE

The State Public Affairs Committee is made up of March of Dimes volunteers from across the state of Oklahoma who make decisions and coordinate activities related to public affairs.  Each volunteer brings a special area of expertise to the committee and assists in carrying out the mission of the March of Dimes through public affairs priorities.
