| Joe Moss, Oregon State Executive Director of Farmers Insurance Group, is the 2007 WalkAmerica chairman for the March of Dimes, Greater Oregon Chapter. Moss will oversee 19 walks throughout Oregon and Southwest Washington with a goal of raising $1.3 million.
Money raised through WalkAmerica will fund critical research, educational and community programs to prevent premature birth—the leading killer of newborns. For reasons largely unknown, premature birth affects one in 10 babies born in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Babies who survive are at higher risk for serious lifelong health problems. |
