Instructions and Rules
 
We’re using Flickr to view photos so, if you don't have a Flickr account already,
you need to open one (they’re FREE). Then join our “Be a Coin Star” group.
 
Take your photo and upload it to Flickr! Under privacy options, choose “public,” and put in the following tags “coin star contest march of dimes.” We encourage you to put your name and hometown in the photo title. And we’d love to get a little more information about your connection with the March of Dimes in the “description” field.
In Flickr, click on the photo you'd like to submit. Above the photo is a link to “Send to Group.” Open that link and you should see a list of groups you belong to. Select “Be a Coin Star.” A message will appear that your photo has been added. Click “ok.”
After you’ve added your photo to the “Be a Coin Star” Flickr group - go grab a quick snack, you’ll have to wait for your photo to be added to our Coin Star pages. After about 10 minutes, go back to our voting page, and “Search” for your Flickr Username. Once you find it, click the “Vote” button then email everyone you know and ask them to help make you a Coin Star!

Okay, the rules, very easy....
- Once voting opens, daily Coin Star winners will be chosen and placed in our winner spot until the next Coin Star is chosen the following day.
- Once a photo has won, it is placed on our previous winners page and can no longer accumulate votes.
- Photos that haven't won can accumulate votes for as long as this contest runs or until they win the title of Coin Star.
- As Flickr rules state, the “Be a Coin Star group administrator” has the right to remove any photo deemed inappropriate for this contest/group.
- Play nice, have fun, and let’s raise awareness and save babies together!
Note: by adding your photo to our flickr group, you are giving March of Dimes permission to display your photo
on marchofdimes.com or in other online and offline promotions for the March of Dimes.
