NICU Family Support Program highlight.

Mary Lynn Alden (seated on the floor), a Geisinger Health System Nurse
who works in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, serves on the March of Dimes CNAC (Chapter NICU Action Committee) and teaches knitting to NICU Parents on her day off. Mary Lynn travels an hour from home to come to the Janet Weis Children’s Hospital at Geisinger Medical Center to share her time and talents with parents experiencing a NICU stay, because she knows from her clinical experience that bedside activities help to reduce families’ stress.
